Volti: Electrifying the Path to a More Sustainable Caracas

In a recent interview with lapatilla.com, Luis E. González, founder and CEO of Volti, unveils how this startup is leading a revolution in urban mobility in Venezuela. Through its innovative proposal of electric scooters, Volti aims not just to alleviate traffic issues in Caracas but also to make a significant contribution to combating climate change by minimizing greenhouse gas emissions.

A Promising Start

Volti’s journey began in May, with a mission to offer a sustainable transportation alternative in a country traditionally dependent on oil. “In a country where traffic and climate change are becoming increasingly pressing challenges, Volti represents a sustainable alternative that aims to alleviate these urban tensions,” explains González. The concept of shared electric mobility, one of Volti’s cornerstones, not only reduces the need for vehicle ownership but also promotes a more conscious and efficient use of resources.

Technology and Safety

Volti’s scooters are not just electric vehicles; they are examples of engineering designed for safety and efficiency. Equipped with multiple sensors, they ensure safe driving adapted to road conditions. Accessibility is also a priority: through an intuitive app, users can easily locate and book these scooters, democratizing access to sustainable mobility.

Expansion and Future

With scooters currently available in the Libertador municipality, from UCV, Ciudad Universitaria to Los Próceres, Volti has ambitious expansion plans. The future vision includes not only increasing coverage areas but also diversifying the vehicle fleet. “We are on a journey towards the expansion of our service catalog,” says González, anticipating the inclusion of e-bikes, e-motorcycles, and e-cars under the shared mode.

A Commitment to the Environment and the Community

Choosing Volti means opting for a cleaner and more efficient Caracas. Beyond offering a practical solution to traffic and pollution, Volti invites Caracas residents to be part of a cultural shift towards sustainability and environmental responsibility. “Venezuela is a country full of opportunities… to innovate and provide solutions that meet local needs,” reflects González.

Volti is not just changing the way Caracas moves; it’s also forging a more sustainable and equitable future for Venezuela. With every scooter that gets activated, Volti brings Caracas closer to an era of sustainable, shared transportation in harmony with the urban and natural environment. As Volti continues its expansion, it is not only defining the future of mobility in Venezuela but also contributing to a legacy of sustainability for future generations.
